Uganda's largest park — savannah game drives, a Nile cruise to the falls, and the world's most powerful waterfall by force.
The Victoria Nile slices Murchison in two before exploding through a narrow rift to fall 43 metres into the Devil's Cauldron. Above the falls, vast savannahs hold the Big Four (no rhinos in the wild here), Rothschild's giraffes, and dense pods of hippos and Nile crocodiles.
A morning game drive on the Buligi peninsula and an afternoon launch cruise to the foot of the falls is the classic 24 hours here. Add a hike to the top of the falls for the full sensory shock.
Combine with Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route — Uganda's only place to track white rhino on foot.
