Uganda's smallest savannah park — and the only one where you can safari on foot, horseback or by boat.
Lake Mburo's compact 370 km² of acacia woodland and lakeshore is a perfect overnight stop between Bwindi and Kampala. Without lions or elephants, walking safaris are encouraged — past zebra, eland, impala, topi and 350 bird species.
Boat cruises on the lake bring close encounters with hippos, crocs and African finfoot.
