Our flagship birder's odyssey — 23 Albertine Rift endemics, the Shoebill, Fox's Weaver and 600+ species across Bwindi, QENP, Kibale, Kidepo, Pian Upe and Mabira.
A twenty-six-day specialist birding expedition led by expert bird guides, covering virtually every key Ugandan habitat: Mabamba shoebill swamps, Lake Mburo, Bwindi (23 of 26 Albertine Rift endemics), Queen Elizabeth (610+ species), Kibale, Semuliki, Murchison Falls, Budongo's Royal Mile, Kidepo, Bokora-Matheniko, Mount Moroto, Pian Upe (with Fox's Weaver) and Mabira Forest.
Day 1 — Arrive Entebbe; optional Botanical Gardens birding by Lake Victoria.
Day 2 — Mabamba Bay shoebill search (Papyrus Gonolek, African Pygmy-Goose, Long-toed Lapwing) and afternoon Botanical Gardens.
Day 3 — Lake Mburo NP en-route birding (Plains Zebra, Impala, Eland, Topi).
Day 4 — Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP (6–7 hour scenic drive).
Day 5 — Optional gorilla tracking in Bwindi (one hour with a habituated family).
Day 6 — Birding the Ruhija sector — Africa's #1 hotspot, 23 Albertine Rift endemics.
Day 7 — Birding the Buhoma sector for sunbirds, turacos, bee-eaters, bush-shrikes and orioles.
Day 8 — Mid-elevation rain-forest birding (African Wood-Owl, Black Bee-eater, African Broadbill).
Day 9 — Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishasha (tree-climbing lions).
Day 10 — Game drive and Kazinga Channel boat cruise (Striated Heron, African Spoonbill, Water Thick-knee).
Day 11 — Kibale Forest chimpanzee tracking (Speckle-breasted Woodpecker, Joyful Greenbul).
Day 12 — Bigodi wetland and Fort Portal birding.
Day 13 — Semuliki Forest day birding.
Day 14 — Long transfer to Masindi with en-route birding.
Day 15 — Royal Mile of Budongo Forest at dawn (Chocolate-backed Kingfisher, Ituri Batis).
Day 16 — Transfer into Murchison Falls NP.
Day 17 — Morning game drive and afternoon Victoria Nile boat trip.
Day 18 — Long transfer to Kidepo Valley NP.
Day 19 — Birding Apoka headquarters and the Narus Valley airstrip grasslands.
Day 20 — Full day birding in Kidepo (Black-headed Plover, Singing Bush Lark, Kori Bustard).
Day 21 — Drive to Moroto with birding in Bokora-Matheniko Wildlife Reserve.
Day 22 — Mount Moroto birding and afternoon transfer to Pian Upe.
Day 23 — Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve birding (Common Ostrich, Fox's Weaver endemic, Stone Partridge).
Day 24 — Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls area birding.
Day 25 — Transfer to Mabira Forest via Jinja and crossing the Nile (Forest Robin, Nahan's Francolin, Tit Hylia).
Day 26 — Final morning birding then transfer to Entebbe International Airport.
