12 Days Uganda Safari

Twelve unhurried days through every park that built Uganda's reputation — and the lakes country in the south-west that almost no one talks about until they've been. Long enough for the country to settle into you.

Day 1 — North to Murchison Falls with rhino tracking on foot at Ziwa en route.

Day 2 — A Murchison morning game drive, then an afternoon Nile boat cruise pulling up to the boiling base of the falls.

Day 3 — South-west to Kibale National Park.

Day 4 — Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and a Bigodi wetland walk, the cicadas rising like an orchestra at noon.

Day 5 — On to Queen Elizabeth via the Crater Lakes — perfect blue eyes set into green hills.

Day 6 — Kasenyi game drive at dawn and a Kyambura community visit in the afternoon.

Day 7 — Maramagambo Forest walk, the trees old enough to feel like cathedrals.

Day 8 — South to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector and its tree-climbing lions.

Day 9 — Bwindi gorilla morning — the climb, the silence, the encounter that resets the rest of the year.

Day 10 — Onward to Lake Mburo via the Kigezi terraces and banana plantations of the south-west.

Day 11 — Lake Mburo morning game drive (zebra, eland, topi) and an afternoon boat ride past the hippo pods.

Day 12 — Return to Kampala / Entebbe with a stop at the Equator.
