The Package
Rhinos on foot at Ziwa, the Nile delta by boat, chimpanzees in Kibale and one unforgettable hour with a mountain gorilla family in Bwindi.
Seven days and six nights across three of Uganda's greatest wildernesses β Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest and Bwindi Impenetrable β beginning in Entebbe and ending in Kampala. This is our most requested festive-season departure, and it moves at a considered pace: two nights in each park, so no morning is rushed and no encounter is cut short.
Day 1 β Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park. Rhino tracking on foot at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch en route, then an evening game drive with a stop at the Top of the Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a 7-metre crack in the Rift Valley escarpment. Overnight: Mubako Hippo Lodges.
Day 2 β Early-morning game drive across the northern savannah, wrapped in a blanket as the plains wake. Afternoon at leisure, then a motorboat cruise down the Nile to the delta where it spills into Lake Albert β one of the finest places in Africa to look for the shoebill. Optional evening game drive. Overnight: Mubako Hippo Lodges.
Day 3 β Transfer west via Hoima, capital of the Bunyoro Kingdom since 1872, into the prime chimpanzee country of Kibale National Park (approx. 8 hrs). Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp, a tented camp in an unspoiled patch of jungle on the park boundary β en-suite safari tents with private balconies.
Day 4 β Early-morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale, a forest of 13 primate species, 370 birds and a scattering of crater lakes. Optional afternoon village visit. Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 5 β Long, beautiful drive south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (approx. 7 hrs), a UNESCO World Heritage forest holding the endangered mountain gorilla alongside 10 other primates and 350 bird species. Overnight: Gorilla Mist Camp, Ruhija β a small friendly lodge with views across the forested hills.
Day 6 β Mountain gorilla trekking in the Ruhija sector. The hike can be strenuous; the hour you spend in the presence of a habituated family is the one you will never forget. Optional Batwa community visit in the afternoon. Overnight: Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 7 β Return north-east to Entebbe / Kampala with breakfast and lunch en route, and a drop-off wherever your onward plans begin.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner on days 1β6; breakfast and lunch on day 7. Drinking water on all days.
Excluded: international flights, additional accommodation before or after the tour, personal items (souvenirs, travel insurance, visa fees), and tips (guideline US$10 per person per day).
Booking terms: a 50% deposit confirms your place, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. Payment by Wise, bank transfer or card (card attracts a 7% transaction fee).
