Serengeti National Park
Endless plains, endless migration
About this destination
14,750 km² stage for the year-round Great Migration — and one of the densest predator populations on earth.
The Serengeti is a circular journey, not a season. From January to March the herds calve in the southern short-grass plains around Ndutu — half a million wildebeest born in three weeks. April to June they move northwest through the central Seronera, then north to the Mara River for the legendary crossings of July to October.
Stay in mobile camps that follow the herds, or anchor in the Northern Serengeti for the river-crossing months. Singita Grumeti, Sasakwa and Sayari are the apex of luxury here.
