The Package
A compact four-day Uganda primate combo — gorillas in Bwindi, lakeside relaxation on Lake Bunyonyi and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest.
A four-day Uganda primate circuit pairing the country's two flagship primate experiences — mountain gorillas in Bwindi and chimpanzees in Kibale — with a lakeside pause on bilharzia-free Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 1 — Pickup from Entebbe at 7:00 am and scenic 9-hour transfer south-west via Masaka, Mbarara and the Equator at Kayabwe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Overnight at Bakiga Lodge.
Day 2 — Early gorilla trekking briefing at the park headquarters, then 1–8 hours in the forest searching for a habituated family. After the encounter, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi (the 'Switzerland of Africa', 900 m deep, swim-safe). Overnight at Bird Nest Eco Lodge.
Day 3 — Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal with views of tea plantations and the Rwenzori Mountains. Afternoon Bigodi Wetlands light walk for monkeys and birds. Overnight at Isunga Lodge.
Day 4 — Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale (one hour with a habituated chimp community), then transfer back to Kampala via Fort Portal and Mubende (5–6 hours).
