Mount Gahinga Lodge

Nestled at the base of the Virunga Volcanoes in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mount Gahinga Lodge is the perfect base for gorilla tracking on the Ugandan side of the Virungas, tracking the rare golden monkey, climbing a volcano and sharing the culture of the Batwa — the original forest people of this region.

The lodge features nine hand-built stone bandas — including deluxe rooms with private fireplaces — an open-plan lounge and dining room, a sun room and the Ihyoge Wellness Centre with sauna and massage rooms. Guests are welcomed with warm African hospitality and can visit the Batwa Community Village supported by the Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust.
